"This event was promoted as a "Trip of a Lifetime" ... and, indeed it was for all participants.
The trip consisted of (2) segments ... (7) days at Brisbane & The Gold Coast, plus (3) days at Sydney. The games schedule included 5 games in the Brisbane area and two games in Sydney. The trip also included entertainment, cultural events, team building inspirational seminar and visits to world renowned venues.
We had the good fortune to experience the services & performance of two companies focused on event planning for visiting sports teams ... Gecko for our Brisbane activities and a second firm (20 years in this business) for Sydney.
My wife and I were the "Booster Representatives" for this trip. We can say without reservation that what Gecko, Chris and his staff lack in longevity, they more than compensate with their professional attention to detail plus their motivated desire and ability to meet our every need & wish. Karen & I are "world travelers" ... mostly via long cruises therefore we know professional service/product ... the Gecko staff constantly reminded us of cruise ship management/staff because they were always there to assist with solutions and assistance for our every need. "Our experience with Gecko Worldwide Sports was outstanding from beginning to end! Committing to a trip to Australia from Atlanta, Georgia seemed initially too overwhelming to consider, but Chris and his staff put everything into place. We were part of a "trip of a lifetime", where no detail was left to chance. Our large group was effortlessly transported to exciting attractions, wonderful meals, and beautiful accommodations. We did not have to try to figure out where to eat, what to see, or how to get there. In addition, our special requests were readily accommodated (five of us decided to go to church at the last minute - transportation was quickly arranged for us).
Prior to the trip, any question I had was quickly addressed by Chris. Communication with him was excellent.
One of the highlights of our trip was getting to know Chris and his staff, as they accompanied us everywhere, making certain all arrangements were in place.
